NORDSTROM HOLIDAY
From 2016 to 2020, I designed seasonal campaign assets for Nordstrom’s holiday campaign, each year featuring the bold, Scandinavian-inspired illustrations of contemporary artist Sanna Annukka. I translated her distinctive style into cross-channel applications, ensuring every piece felt both true to her artwork and unmistakably Nordstrom.
2020 make merry animations
I created a series of animations to pair with Sanna Annukka’s custom Make Merry lockup, designed for flexibility across formats. Some were intended as subtle ambient motion, while others served as bold intro or sign-off moments. The animations were also featured in a text-only ad at New York’s Columbus Circle, timed to move at the same pace as passersby - creating a joyful, interactive effect.
GRAPHIC EMAIL TEMPLATES
Each year, I created 5–7 copy-only email templates for Nordstrom’s email program team.
For the Make Merry season, I applied an organic, stop-motion–inspired style to text-only animations. Illustrations by Sanna Annukka were abstracted, enlarged, and given tonal treatments, keeping the focus on messaging while preserving the handmade quality of her shapes.

CELEBRATORY EMAILS
Each year, I designed day-of holiday emails for Nordstrom customers, serving as “surprise and delight” moments in the inbox. These required illustration and animation to take center stage, creating festive, engaging visual content that stood apart from typical promotional sends.

A suite of banner ads created while I was on Nordstrom’s program team, adapted for every format - balancing scale, proportion, and legibility while keeping the campaign’s personality intact.
SOCIAL
SNAPCHAT FILTER
Custom Snapchat filters designed to engage customers in-store. This set included multiple overlays tailored to seasonal moments, such as pre-holiday designs for November featuring Sanna Annukka’s illustrations arranged with context in mind.
INSTAGRAM AD TEMPLATE
A flexible template for persona-targeted Instagram Story ads. Its modular format allowed us to produce many variations, tailoring content to hyper-specific audiences.
INSTAGRAM ADVENT CALENDAR
A “surprise and delight” series designed for Nordstrom’s Instagram. Each day, a new video was revealed behind an advent calendar door, keeping customers engaged and returning throughout the season.

Animation for Nordstrom’s “Let’s Go Gifting” lockup, for use across social, ads, email and site that highlights the playfulness of the lockup and interplay of its overlapping colors.
